Steve was a three-time Team MVP for the Titan men’s tennis squad (1968, ’70, ’71), earning the conference singles title in 1969 and the conference doubles title three straight years from 1968-70. His athletic highlight was representing the College at the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City in 1970, where he finished in the top 50 nationally in singles. He earned Dean’s List and Outstanding College Athletes of America laurels in 1970 and ’71, and was a member of the Latin and French honoraries. Also, while on campus he was a sportswriter for the Holcad and belonged to the International Culture organization and the Varsity “W” club. Steve currently works as principal of Greenville High School. He and his wife, Debbie, have one daughter (Karli) and reside in Greenville.
