Only the fourth Westminster College men's tennis player to earn induction into the Titan Sports Hall of Fame, Bill Rankin was co-captain of the 1960 Titan team that went undefeated in the West Penn Conference and won the conference championship.

Rankin also posted a 13-2 singles record as a junior while leading the Titans to a co-championship in 1959. His 13 singles win that season are currently tied for sixth in team history and it was a school record that held for 24 years.

During his time at Westminster Rankin earned Dean's List honors for all eight semesters and he was the president of the Sigma Nu fraternity and the president of his freshman and sophomore classes.

A native of Mount Lebanon, Pa., and a Mount Lebanon High School graduate, Rankin earned economics and business administration degrees from Westminster by graduating magna cum laude in 1960. A current resident of Gibsonia, Pa., Rankin is retired after working 33 years for the Pfizer Inc. Consumer Health Care Group, where he was Vice President for Employee Resources.  He and his wife Carla have two sons, Mark and Matt. Rankin has endowed two scholarships at Westminster in his name and he is in his third term on the Westminster College Board of Trustees.
