Glenn Smith '59 was a four-year letterman in baseball and a three-year letterwinner in football. He was a team captain for the Titan baseball team and earned First Team West Penn Conference at third base. He hit .397 during his freshman year, while totaling .327 for his career. Smith also went a perfect 5-0 as a pitcher. On the Titan football team, he started at center on offense and middle linebacker on defense.
 
Smith served as corporal in the United States Army as a radio repairer. He also competed on the Fort Gordon Georgia baseball team. He was the first head football coach for New Wilmington Area High School and also organized the New Wilmington Midget football team. He was involved with the Rotary for 35 years, and he served as president and secretary. Smith has also been a member of the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church choir for 25 years, and has served as deacon and as a member of the HELP TEAM.
 
A native of Wilkinsburg, Pa., Smith attended Wilkinsburg High School. He earned a degree in business from Westminster. Smith is currently retired. He and his wife, Barbara, have three children: Glenn Jr., Daniel, and Suzanne; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
