David will be inducted posthumously into the Class of ’99. He was selected for his efforts on the gridiron for the Titans. A four-year leterman, he served as team captain for the undefeated 1964 squad, while earning All-West Penn and NAIA District 18 laurels at defensive tackle. Following graduation, he enlisted into the United States Air Force and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1965. He served as a pilot in the USAF and was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross with two oak leaf clusters. He was promoted posthumously to major in May of 1976. His wife, Barbara, currently resides in New York City.
