One of the program's all-time best offensive weapons from the running back position, Joe led legendary head coach Harold Burry's Titans in rushing from 1969-71, during which time Westminster went 6-2, 10-0 and 8-1-1, respectively. The 1970 Titans tallied a 10-0 won-lost ledger, defeating Anderson (Ind.) 21-16 before 5,000 fans at Taggart Stadium in New Castle on Dec. 5 -- the inaugural National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II title tilt. Joe accumulated 2,063 rushing yards in his career, highlighted by his 225-carry, 1,038-yard (4.6 per-carry), 14-TD season in 1971. He was also the team's leading scorer in '71 with 16 TDs -- including 2 receiving -- for 96 points.
