Titan Sports Hall of Fame
James was a three-year letterman and three-year starter for the Westminster football team.
James started on the offensive line for the 1976 and 1977 NAIA National Championship Teams for the Titans.
He played on teams whose combined record was 33-4-2.
A long-time member of the TTO Executive Committee where he also served as President, James supported and was involved in many initiatives and projects through the years that have benefitted and will continue to benefit Westminster student-athletes and its intercollegiate athletic program. He passed away in October, 2013. He and his wife, former Westminster Director of Alumni Relations Mary (Cooley) James '84, have two daughters, Elizabeth James and Emily (James) Petitt '08, and one granddaughter, Ellie Petitt.
