Jessica Cooper Smith '08 was a four-year letterwinner on the track & field team and a three-year letter-winner on the volleyball team.
 
A three-time PAC champion in track & field (twice in high jump and once in triple jump), Smith earned All-America status, the first Titan (male or female) to achieve this, at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Nationals with a third-place jump in the high jump (1.67 m). She also qualified twice for Indoor Nationals in the high jump; she was the first Titan (male or female) to qualify for Indoor Nationals in any event. She was named the PAC Field Athlete of the Year as a senior and earned Team MVP multiple times. Smith owns the school outdoor records for the high jump (1.68 m) and triple jump (11.08 m) and holds the school indoor record for the high (1.65 m) and triple jump (10.49 m). On the court, she helped guide the volleyball team to a PAC title and an NCAA tournament berth in 2007, as she was named the PAC MVP and earned First Team All-PAC honors. During her senior year, she led the team in kills with 460 total (3.59 per game) and was tied for first with 109 blocks.
 
Smith, an Academic All-American, was also a member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Kappa Delta sorority. A native of New Castle, Pa., Smith graduated from Laurel High School and earned a history degree from Westminster. She currently works for the People's Natural Gas Credit & Collections and is an assistant for the Titan track & field team. She and her husband, William, reside in Portersville, Pa.
