Katie Spehar was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and a two-year letter winner in track and & field (the first two years of the varsity program).

A volleyball and team Most Valuable Player as a senior, Spehar was named First Team All-PAC and PAC Player of the Year as the Titans won the 2002 PAC Championship. She was also a member of the 2001 ECAC Championship team. Spehar ranks third all-time with 559 blocks.

On the track, Spehar earned PAC Coaches' Honors (equivalent of All-PAC recognition) her junior year and First Team All-PAC her senior year as she won the 800m, 1500m, and 1600m relay. For her efforts, she was named Team MVP. Spehar holds the school record in the 1500 meters (4:58).

Spehar won the Marjorie A. Walker Award for Outstanding Senior Female Student-Athlete.

A native of Malvern, Ohio, and a graduate of Malvern High School, Spehar earned her degree in psychology in 2003 from Westminster. She currently works as a child and adolescent mental health counselor and is engaged to be married to Scott Kocher.
