Titan Sports Hall of Fame
Nate Armstrong was an offensive lineman on Westminster's 1994 NAIA Division II National Championship team. A 6-foot, 280-pound left tackle, Armstrong earned an honorable mention for the All-America team in 1994 as well as first-team all-Mid-States Football Association honors. He helped block for running back Andy Blatt, who set a school record with 1,982 rushing yards in 1994.
A three-year letterman, Armstrong was a co-captain of the 1995 team during his senior year for head coach Gene Nicholson. He culminated his career by earning second-team NAIA All-America honors in 1995.
A native of Youngstown, Ohio, and a South High School graduate, Armstrong currently resides in Youngstown with his wife Marie and sons Nathaniel IV and Christian. The couple is also raising a daughter, Iindia Weatherly. He graduated from Westminster in 1997 with a degree in sociology-criminal justice.
