GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Westminster men's swimming and diving team placed runner-up at the conclusion of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship, hosted by Grove City, Saturday night. Westminster tallied 906 points.
Senior
Patrick Holton (Livonia, MI / Winston Churchill) was named the PAC Diver of the Year, while assistant and dive coach
Collin Vest was named PAC Dive Coach of the Year.
"I am so proud of the men for the season and meet we had," said head coach
Pat Smith. "We tried to go as hard as we could for each race and almost had 100% best times. Ultimately, we came a little short in the team standings but grew a ton during the season and sent the seniors off with a great meet."
Holton won the one-meter dive with a score of 492.65. First-year
Samuel Duda (Tulsa, OK / Bishop Kelley) finished runner-up in the 1650 free with a time of 17:07.36. Sophomore
Paul Kallaur (Bethel Park, PA / Home Schooled) earned second-place in the 200 breaststroke, clocking in at 2:08.28. Senior
Jacob Musselman (Denver, PA / Cocalico) came in third in the 100 free at 47.20. In the 200 fly, junior
Stephen Adametz (Glenshaw, PA / Shaler Area) collected a second-place medal with a time of 2:00.17. In the 400 free relay, Musselman and Duda teamed with first-year
Connor Fritz (Canfield, OH / Canfield) and senior
Kevin MacMurdo (Pittsburgh, PA / Carlynton) to finish runner-up at 3:12.65.
