GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Westminster men's swimming and diving team concluded the second day of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship, hosted by Grove City, Friday night.
Westminster currently sits in second-place with 598 points.
"The guys had a great night," said head coach
Pat Smith. "We knew it would be tough to hold the lead. To have two conference champions come from the session as well as multiple lifetime bests, is really all we could ask for."
First-year
Samuel Duda (Tulsa, OK / Bishop Kelley) won the 400 IM with a time of 4:12.87. First-year
Connor Fritz (Canfield, OH / Canfield) came in first in the 100 backstroke, clocking in at 51.76. Senior
Jacob Musselman (Denver, PA / Cocalico) finished runner-up in the 200 freestyle at 1:45.36. Sophomore
Paul Kallaur (Bethel Park, PA / Home Schooled) earned a third-place finish in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.60. In the 200 medley relay, seniors
Kevin MacMurdo (Pittsburgh, PA / Carlynton) and
Constantine Kallaur (Bethel Park, PA / Homeschooled) teamed with first-year
Dawson Yocum (Flower Mound, TX / Flower Mound) and Duda to finish runner-up, clocking in at 1:34.67. In the 800 free relay, Musselman, Fritz, P.Kallaur, and junior
Stephen Adametz (Glenshaw, PA / Shaler Area) earned a second-place finish at 7:18.18.
The Titans are back in action Saturday, February 19 as they compete in the final day of the PAC Championship. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
