NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Westminster softball team, under the helm of 26
th-year head
Jan Reddinger, return 14 players from last year's team that finished the season as the winningest team in program history with a 33-4 overall record.

Highlighting the returners are five First Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) honorees that include senior pitcher
Madison Brown (Lisbon, OH / East Liverpool), who led the PAC in earned run average with 1.54 and went 16-2 as a starter, junior catcher
Leah Pancake (North Lima, OH / Beaver Local), who led the league in home runs with seven and recorded a .393 batting average, junior outfielder
Brooke Atkins (New Castle, PA / Laurel), who led the team in hits with 56 and led the conference in slugging percentage at .717, along with junior outfielder
Ashley Wire (Poland, OH / Poland Seminary), who lead the team in batting average at .446 to go with 25 runs-batted-in, and junior first baseman
Mackenzie Latess (New Castle, PA / Laurel), who led the team in doubles (14) and hit a .432 batting average.

Another returning All-PAC honoree is junior shortstop
Alexis Yates (Oakdale, PA / South Fayette). Yates tallied a batting average of .390 with 24 runs-batted-in. She was named All-PAC Honorable Mention last season. Sophomore pitcher
Elizabeth Malczak (Grove City, PA / Grove City) returns after finishing fifth in the conference in wins (15) and earned run average (2.15) last season.

Other key contributors returning include, juniors second baseman
Mia Greco (New Castle, PA / Neshannock) and pitcher
Abbegail Froehlich (Pittsburgh, PA / Plum). The sophomore class returns outfielders
Alexis Petropoulos (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) and
Tori Bowersock (Lisbon, OH / Lisbon David Anderson), along with sophomore third basemen
Riley Lewis (Clinton, PA / Hopewell) and
Savannah Weller (Birdsboro, PA / Daniel Boone Area). Rounding out the sophomore class returners are catcher
Alyssa Stock (New Brighton, PA / New Brighton Area) and second baseman
Brooke McQuillan (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood).

Westminster was selected to finish second in conference standings with 82 points, according to the league's preseason coaches' poll. Brown, Latess, Pancake, Wire, and Yates were named to the PAC Players to Watch List.

The Titans start their 2022 campaign Sunday, March 13 against Worcester State in a non-conference game, during the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, S.C. First pitch is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
