Men's Soccer: Host Marietta Shuts Out Titans in Consolation Game

MARIETTA, Ohio - The Westminster College men's soccer team lost to host Marietta, 2-0, Sunday in the consolation game of the Marietta Soccer Classic.

Marietta (2-0-2) scored in the 23rd and 75th minutes on goals by Kyle Muth.

The Titans (3-2) outshot the Pioneers, 16-12, including senior midfielder Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll) and junior forward Ian Hill (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Catholic) with four shots apiece.

Marietta goalkeeper Steve Hagenau made five saves for the shutout.

Horvath and senior defender Chris Ellwanger (South Park, Pa./South Park) made the all-tournament team for Westminster.

Westminster returns to action at Pitt-Greensburg on Friday at 4 p.m.
