NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College men's soccer team scored five second-half goals to defeat visiting Point Park, 5-0, Saturday in the second day as hosts of the Westminster Soccer Invitational.
The Titans' smothering defense limited the Pioneers to just one shot during the game, as Westminster held a 26-1 shot advantage.
Sophomore forward Brice Lott (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) scored a career-high two goals - his seventh and eighth of his career - to lead the Titans.
Freshman midfielder Alan Baldwin (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield) scored his first career goal to open the scoring for Westminster in the 46th minute. Baldwin also assisted on Lott's second goal.
Senior midfielder Garrett Horvath (Southlake, Texas/Southlake Carroll) then gave the Titans a two-goal cushion with a goal in the 56th minute. After two Lott goals, senior midfielder J.R. Little (Youngstown, Ohio/Ursuline) netted his second career goal in the 82nd minute.
The Titans travel to Pitt-Bradford Wednesday, Sept. 5, for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
