GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Westminster swimming and diving teams competed against Grove City on the road Thursday night in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) meet.

"It's always great to get to compete against the defending conference champs", said Head Coach
Pat Smith. "The atmosphere and emotion when we compete is as good as any meet in America. While we didn't win tonight, I'm proud how we raced up and down the lineup", Smith added, "I know this experience we be valuable when we are back here in a few weeks for the PAC Championship".
The Titan women (3-3, 2-2 PAC) lost 190-101 and the Titan men (3-3, 3-1 PAC) lost 180-116.

For the women, first-year
Christina Loewe (Austin, TX / Veritas Academy) won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:01.96 and the 200 backstroke at 2:14.31. Senior
Megan Routch (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) earned a first-place finish in the 1,000 freestyle, clocking in at 11:20.52. Sophomore
Olivia Herman (Hamburg, NY / Hamburg) finished in first-place with a time of 2:39.44 in the 200 backstroke. Senior
Anna Grimenstein (Bridgeville, PA / Homeschooled) won the 200 IM with a time of 2:19.93. Routch finished runner-up in the 500 freestyle at 5:27.94. Junior
Baylee Horvath (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) earned a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle at 55.14 and in the 50 freestyle at 25.29.

For the men, senior
Patrick Holton (Livonia, MI / Winston Churchill) won the one-meter dive and three-meter dive with a score of 268.75 and 300.30. First-year
Connor Fritz (Canfield, OH / Canfield) finished in first-place in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.92. Senior
Jacob Musselman (Denver, PA / Cocalico) won the 100 freestyle, clocking in at 47.69. First-year
Samuel Duda (Tulsa, OK / Bishop Kelley) won the 500 freestyle at 5:01.37 and finished runner-up in the 200 IM at 2:06.28. Musselman earned a second-place spot in the 50 freestyle, clocking in at 21.56. The team of Musselman, Duda, Fritz, and sophomore
Paul Kallaur (Bethel Park, PA / Home Schooled) came in second-place in the 200 medley relay at 1:37.21.

The Titans are back in action Saturday, January 29 as they host Mount Union in a non-conference matchup. Start time is set for 1 p.m. The meet will be broadcasted on the Westminster Cable Network (WCN).
