LATROBE, Pa. – The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed against Saint Vincent College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) dual meet on the road Saturday.
The Titan men (5-1, 3-0 PAC) defeated the Saint Vincent men (3-5, 3-2 PAC) by a score of 160-133, while the Titan women (3-3, 2-1 PAC) lost to the Saint Vincent women (5-3, 4-1 PAC) 167-127.
For the men, sophomore
Austin Shaw (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) highlighted the day by qualifying for the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals with a six-dive score of 278.10 and a five-dive score of 153.25. In the 200 medley relay, seniors
Matt Kwalick (Sewickley, PA / Quaker Valley) and
Aaron Dunlany (Boardman, OH / Boardman) and sophomore
Trevor McCabe (Avon, NY / Avon Central) and
Jacob Musselman (Denver, PA / Cocalico) teamed together to win the event with a time of 1:39.37. Kwalick also won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:49.88 and the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:03.52. Dunlany claimed three individual victories, winning the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:41.18, the 200 freestyle with a time of 5:04.25 and the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.95. For the women, senior
Kaitlyn Fast (Wooster, OH / Wooster) qualified for the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals with a five-dive score of 164.60 and a six-dive score of 235.80. In other action, senior
Abigail Jones (Cabot, PA / Knoch) won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.03, while classmate
Maggie Manolis (Jeanette, PA / Jeannette) won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:38.48.
Westminster will be back in action on Thursday, January 30 when it takes on Grove City College at home in a conference matchup at 6 p.m.
