Men’s Tennis: Titans Compete at 2018 PAC Championships

ERIE, Pa. – The Westminster College men's tennis team placed fifth with 21 points at the 2018 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tennis Championships on Saturday, which was hosted by the Pennbriar Athletic Club.
 
Titan freshman Miguel Ascencio (Venitia, PA / Peters Township) earned Second Team All-PAC honors at number one singles. Ascencio lost a hard-fought championship match, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), to Saint Vincent's Jonathan Prichard (who won the PAC Player of the Year).
 
Westminster senior Kornel Foremski (Heights, OH / Shaker Heights) also earned Second Team All-PAC accolades at fourth singles. Foremski lost, 6-4, 6-3, to Washington & Jefferson's Max Perilstein in the championship matchup.
 
Additionally, Ascencio and Foremski claimed Second Team All-PAC honors at number one doubles. The Titan duo lost, 8-5, to Thomas More's pair of Derrick Kwok and Jared Haught in the championship match.
 
Thomas More College won as a team with 45 points.
