WOOSTER, Ohio – The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed at the College of Wooster on Saturday Afternoon.
The Titan men defeated Wooster, 192-102 while the Titan women lost, 180-114. The men improved their record to 3-0 on the season, while the women fell to 1-3.
The Titan men earned first place in the first race of the afternoon as sophomores
Matthew Bogen (Canfield, OH / Canfield) and
Matt Kwalick (Sewickley, PA / Quaker Valley) and juniors
Luke Simmons (Ashland, OH / Ashland) and
Clay Murray (St. Thomas, PA / James Buchanan) swam a time of 1:40.28 in the 200-medley relay. The other relay of the afternoon was also a Titan victory, as Murray teamed up with seniors
Mitch Stahara (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park),
Daniel Bogen (Canfield, OH / Canfield), and junior
Michael Spencer (Clearfield, PA / Clearfield) in the 200-freestyle relay, swimming a time of 1:28.59.
M. Bogen finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.23) and the 200 breaststroke (2:22.37), while Spencer placed first in the 50 freestyle (22.03) and Stahara placed first in the 100 freestyle (47.62). Junior
David Peffer (Ellwood City, PA / Riverside) earned first-place victories in both the 100 backstroke (55.10) and the 200 backstroke (2:00.87). Sophomore
Aaron Dunlany (Boardman, OH / Boardman) swam a first-place time of 4:30.92 in the 400 IM, while senior teammate
Michael DiDomenico (Canfield, OH / Canfield) earned first in the 1650 freestyle, swimming a time of 17:47.66.
Titan freshman
Connor May (Highlands Ranch, CO / Glacier Park) continued his dominant season, as he finished first in the 1-meter dive (243.00) and 3-meter dive (257.15). Freshman
Zack Thomas (Snohomish, WA / Snohomish) finished second in both diving events, earning scores of 231.30 and 157.40, respectively.
For the Titan women, sophomore
Abigail Jones (Cabot, PA / Knoch) placed first in both the 100 breaststroke (1:10.63) and 200 breaststroke (2:36.14). Jones also added a second-place finish in the 400 IM, recording a time of 5:00.01. Junior
Carolyn Novak (Pittsburgh, PA / Upper St. Clair) placed second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.30, while sophomore
Maggie Manolis (Jeannette, PA / Jeannette) finished second in the 100 breaststroke, swimming a time of 1:13.34. Senior
Alyssa Rossi (Lakewood, OH / Bay) finished second with a time of 5:45.00 in the 500 freestyle.

Kaitlyn Fast (Wooster, OH / Wooster) earned two first-place finishes in the 1-meter dive (205.40) and 3-meter dive (199.10). First-year
Zoe Cable (Brookville, PA / Brookville Area) placed second in the 1-meter (185.55), while fellow first-year teammate
Madi Rast (Boardman, OH / Boardman) placed second in the 3-meter dive (182.05).
