Women's Basketball: Westminster's Streak Halted by Nationally-Ranked Thomas More

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team's five-game winning streak ended at home on Wednesday night after the Titans lost, 116-49, to the nationally-ranked Thomas More Saints (14-0, 7-0 PAC) .

For the game, Thomas More out-shot Westminster 50.6% (42-83) to 35.3% (18-51) and held a 43-37 rebound edge.   

Titan junior Allison Borts (Youngstown, OH / Boardman) led Westminster (7-7, 4-3 PAC) with 12 points (5-for-8). Classmate Jenna Grandy (Sharpsville, PA / Sharpsville) also scored in double-digits with a season-high 10 points. Westminster freshman Shelby Brown (New Castle, PA / Mohawk) added six points. Brown and Grandy led on the glass with a team-high six rebounds each.

Thomas More was led by Sydney Moss who scored a game-high 33 points, while Jenny Burgoyne had a game-high nine rebounds.

Westminster will travel to PAC foe Geneva on Saturday with a tip-off time of 5:30 p.m.
