Three earn Academic All-District®

GREENWOOD, Ind.--Three members of the Westminster College women's basketball program were recently honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) with Academic All-District® honors. 

Senior Emily Hess (Edinboro, Pa., General McLane) and sophomores Kennedy Arison (Medina, Ohio, Akron Hoban) and Grace Cano (Greenville, Pa., Greenville) were recognized. 

Hess, a forward, carries s 3.57 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) while majoring in accounting and sports management. She is a four-time Dean's List honoree and has been named to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll twice. Now a two-time Academic All-District® selection, Hess made starts in all 25 games last season and averaged 5.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Arison, a guard, maintains a 3.61 cumulative GPA as a sports management major. She made starts in all 25 games last season, averaging 5.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Her 79 assists this season ranked seventh in the league. Arison has been a Dean's List selection twice and was named to the PAC's Academic Honor Roll last spring. 

Cano, a nursing major, carries a 3.53 cumulative GPA. The forward is a two-time Dean's List selection and was named to the PAC's Academic Honor Roll last spring. Cano appeared in all 25 games, making 17 starts, and averaged 9.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. 

Westminster finished its season 4-21 overall and 4-16 in the conference.
