LATROBE, Pa. - The Westminster College women's basketball team suffered an 82-50 loss at Saint Vincent Saturday night in non-conference action. The Titans fall to 2-5 on the season while the Bearcats improve to 5-1.
Senior guard Amy Dolsak (McDonald, Ohio/McDonald) was the only Titan to score in double figures as she bucketed 10 points. All of her shots from the field were from 3-point range as she made 3 of 6 from beyond the arch.
Freshman forward Andi Ridge (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Starpoint) also scored eight points for Westminster. The Titans' assists and rebounds leaders were held scoreless as junior point guard Kaitlin McCarthy (Lowellville, Ohio/Lowellville) dished out six assists and freshman guard Danielle Gilmore (Washington, Pa./Trinity) pulled down four rebounds.
Melissa Mansur and Brittany Sedlock led the Bearcats with 14 points apiece.
Westminster committed 30 turnovers to Saint Vincent's 13, marking the third time this year that the Titans turned the ball over 30 or more times in a game, while in all seven games this year they committed 20 or more turnovers.
Saint Vincent shot 32-71 from the floor and attempted 31 more shots than Westminster (16-40).
The Bearcats led 46-20 at halftime and led by no fewer than 25 points and no more than 33 points in the second half.
Westminster hosts Chatham Wednesday at 6 p.m.
