Five earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District®

GREENWOOD, Ind.--Five members of Westminster College's women's cross country and track and field programs were recognized by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) with Academic All-District® honors Tuesday afternoon.

Recent graduates Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek), Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview) and Missy Treharne (Burton, Ohio, Beaumont School), along with rising juniors Lauren Burks (Pittsburgh, Pa., North Allegheny) and Grace Iwig (Greensburg, Pa., Hempfield), were recognized. 

Rambo and Treharne earned Academic All-District® for the third-straight year while it is the first for Curtis, Burks and Iwig. 

Curtis graduated May 9 with a bachelor's degree in creative media production and a 3.79 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). She is an eight-time Dean's List and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll selection. At the PAC Outdoor Championships, Curtis finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time of 12 minutes, 4.73 seconds.

Rambo graduated with a bachelor's degree in environmental science and a 3.62 cumulative GPA. She was named to the College's Dean's List and the PAC Academic Honor Roll five times. At the PAC Indoor Championships, Rambo won the shot put with a throw of 13.12 meters (43-0.50). At the PAC Outdoor Championships, she was named the PAC Overall MVP and PAC Field MVP after scoring 32 points. She also won the discus for the third consecutive year with a throw of 42.09 meters (138-1). Rambo was named PAC Field Athlete of the Week three times during the 2025-26 season (Feb. 10, March 24, and April 28).

Treharne graduated with a bachelor's degree in creative media production and English and a 3.96 cumulative GPA. She is a seven-time Dean's List selection and was named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll four times. At the PAC Indoor Championships, Treharne won the pole vault with a clearance of 3.88 meters (12-8.75). She recorded a personal-best mark of 4.01 meters (13-1.75) at Westminster's annual invitational on April 11, the top clearance in the Mid-Atlantic Region during the 2025-26 season. Treharne qualified for both the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Championships and earned All-America honors with a ninth-place finish at the outdoor championships after clearing 3.85 meters (12-7.50). She was named PAC Field Athlete of the Week on April 14.

Burks maintains a 3.88 cumulative GPA while pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance. She has been named to the College's Dean's List four times and to the PAC Academic Honor Roll twice. At the PAC Indoor Championships, Burks placed 11th in the shot put with a throw of 10.34 meters (33-11.25). At the PAC Outdoor Championships, she finished 10th in the discus with a throw of 31.85 meters (104-6).

Iwig carries a 3.55 cumulative GPA while pursuing a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education. At the PAC Indoor Championships, she finished as the runner-up in the pole vault after clearing 3.68 meters (12-0.75) and placed third in the high jump with a clearance of 1.55 meters (5-1). At the PAC Outdoor Championships, Iwig cleared a season-best 3.70 meters (12-1.50) to win the pole vault and tied for fourth in the high jump with a best mark of 1.54 meters (5-0.50).

Westminster finished third at the PAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 26, totaling 84.5 points and producing two individual champions at the 16-event championship. On May 1, Westminster also placed third at the PAC Outdoor Championships, accumulating 114.5 points and crowning two individual champions during the two-day, 20-event championship.
