Three event winners highlight day two at PAC Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--Junior Jack Crider (Apollo, Pa., Kiski), sophomore Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) and freshman Deonte Stallings (Youngstown, Ohio, Austintown Fitch) earned individual titles at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday.

The two-day, 20-event championship was once again held at the Track & Field Complex at Mylan Park. Geneva won the team title with 145.50 points. Grove City was second (138). Westminster was third with 108 points. 

Crider posted a winning mark of 46.99 meters (154-02) in the discus. He also finished third in the hammer throw (42.79m, 140-04) and fifth in the shot put (13.18m, 43-03). Stallings registered a winning time of 15.65 seconds in the final of the 110-meter hurdles. He was also fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 57.51. Dye won the high jump after clearing 2.02 meters (6-07.50). 

Junior Jake Mull (Apollo, Pa., Apollo-Ridge) was the runner-up in the 400 hurdles with a personal-best time of 56.03 and finished fourth in the 110 hurdles (16.34). Junior Kyle Crown (Lake Milton, Ohio, McDonald) was the runner-up in the shot put, posting a best mark of 13.86 meters (45-05.75). He was also fourth in the discus (38.57m, 126-06). Junior Dalton Koehler (Chardon, Ohio, Fairport Harding) was the runner-up in the 800 meters, finishing with a personal-best time of 1:56.63. 

Freshman Zach Kovell (Aliquippa, Pa., Hopewell) was third in the 400 meters (48.45) and seventh in the 200 meters (22.26). Freshman Daniel Mukaabya (Bridgeville, Pa., Union) was fourth in the shot put with a personal-best mark of 13.29 meters (43-07.25). 

Freshman Aaron Stebick (Butler, Pa., Butler) was seventh in the 400 with a personal-best time of 49.44 and eighth in the 200 (22.33). Freshman Dillon Brunner (Pittsburgh, Pa., Upper Saint Clair) was seventh in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:00.35. 

The 4x100-meter relay was fourth (42.52). Relay members were freshman Robert Maderitz (Youngstown, Ohio, Austintown Fitch), Stebicksenior Ben White (Warren, Pa., Warren) and Kovell. The 4x400-meter relay, made up of Stebick, freshman Aaron Dickhart (Aliquippa, Pa., Hopewell), Koehler and Mull, finished seventh (3:29.87).

Westminster is scheduled to compete at Baldwin-Wallace's Harrison Dillard Twilight meet next Thursday and Friday, May 7-8.
