LA CROSSE, Wis.--Westminster rising junior Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) participated in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday afternoon.

The championships are being held at the Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis. Dye was one of the 22 qualifiers in the men's high jump. He also qualified for the Division III Indoor Championships in March. 

Dye finished 11th after clearing 2.06 meters (6-09.00), tying his career best mark at Mount Union's Last Chance on May 13. He entered the outdoor championships with the No. 17 seed mark. The 11th-place finish earned him Second Team All-America honors. 

At the Division III Indoor Championships, Dye was one of five competitors to tie for 14th place after clearing 1.98 meters (6-06).
