Zendron named PAC Track Athlete of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster junior Jenna Zendron (West Sunbury, Pa., Moniteau) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Outdoor Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

This is Zendron's first PAC weekly award this season. She was named PAC Newcomer of the Week on April 23, 2024.

Zendron finished fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 57.62 seconds and 18th in the 200 meters with a career-best time of 25.77 at last weekend's Dave Labor Invitational, hosted by Slippery Rock. Both times top the league's performance list. Her time in the 400 ranks third-best in the Mid-Atlantic Region while her time in the 200 ranks eighth-best in the region. She also led off Westminster's fourth-place 4x400-meter relay (4:14.97). It is the No. 2 time in the conference this season.

Up next:
Westminster hosts its annual invitational this weekend. The hammer will be contested Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Slippery Rock's William C. Lennox Track. Events will begin at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in New Wilmington.
