Stallings named PAC Newcomer of the Week

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster freshman Deonte Stallings (Youngstown, Ohio, Austintown-Fitch) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Outdoor Track and Field Newcomer of the Week Tuesday afternoon.

This is the first PAC weekly honor of Stallings' career.

Stallings won the 110-meter hurdles with a finals time of 15.01 seconds Thursday at the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational, hosted by Allegheny. His preliminaries time of 14.97 was a personal best, ranks No. 2 in the PAC and is No. 7 in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Stallings also finished third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 58.30. It's the league's fifth-best time.

Up next:
Westminster will compete at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships next Thursday and Friday, April 30-May 1, at West Virginia's Track and Field Complex at Mylan Park. Events are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. on Friday.
