Rambo wins discus, shot put at West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va.--Westminster senior Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview) was a double-winner Saturday at West Virginia's Marty Pushkin Invitational, winning both the discus and the shot put.

Rambo topped the 25-thrower discus field with a mark of 40.19 meters (131-10). She led the 25-thrower shot put field with a top mark of 12.41 meters (40-08.75).

Friday at the Stark County Challenge, hosted by Mount Union, Rambo won the shot put with a throw of 12.77 meters (41-10.75).

Up next:
Westminster will split its team next Friday and Saturday to compete at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational and the Tim Weaver Invitational, hosted by West Liberty.
