Four individuals, women's team claims All-Academic honors from USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS--Four members of Westminster College's women's track and field program were recently recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as Division III All-Academic Athletes.

Recent graduates Madison Conley (New Castle, Pa., New Castle) and Breannda Davis (Streetsboro, Ohio, Streetsboro), along with rising senior Shelby Rambo (East Palestine, Ohio, Crestview) and rising sophomore Grace Iwig (Greensburg, Pa., Hempfield), all earned Division III All-Academic Athlete honors.

Westminster's four qualifiers were the second-most among Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rivals. 

Led by 18th-year head coach Tim McNeil, the program was also praised as a Division III All-Academic Team for the second-straight year, one of the seven women's PAC programs mentioned. Westminster finished the year with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.46. 

Conley earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) on May 10 and maintained 4.00 GPA. Named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® selection for the third-straight year, she is a five-time Dean's List selection and has been named to the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Academic Honor Roll three times. Conley won the pole vault at the PAC Indoor Championships (3.83m, 12-06.75), which was the No. 1 mark in the Mid-Atlantic region. She won the pole vault at the PAC Outdoor Championships with a top mark of 3.67m (12-00.50). Conley earned All-America honors at the Division III Outdoor Championships in May after clearing 3.85 meters (12-07.50). Her winning mark of 3.87 meters (12-08.25) at the Walsh Invitational on April 23 finished the season as the No. 2 mark in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Davis earned a MBA in May carrying a 3.84 GPA. She is a four-time Dean's List selection and was named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll three times. At this year's PAC Indoor Championships, Davis posted a new PAC record in the high jump, winning the event with a top mark of 1.65 meters (5-05). She earned the No. 1  spot in the Mid-Atlantic region with her performance at Youngstown State's Last Chance meet, where she cleared 1.71 meters (5-07.25). During the PAC Outdoor Championships, she posted runner-up finishes in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.11) and long jump (5.53m, 18-01) and was third in the high jump (1.55m, 5-01) and 100-meter hurdles (15.49). Davis earned the first All-America citation of her career with a seventh-place finish in the high jump at the this year's Division III Outdoor Championships, clearing 1.68 meters (5-06). At Mount Union's Last Chance Meet in May, Davis cleared 1.68 meters (5-06), which was the No. 1 mark in the Mid-Atlantic region.

An environmental science major, Rambo owns a 3.74 cumulative GPA. A two-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® selection, she is now a five-time Dean's List honoree and has been named to the PAC Academic Honor Roll five times. At the PAC Indoor Championships, Rambo finished third in the shot put with a best throw of 12.37 meters (40-07.00). It was the No. 5 throw in the Mid-Atlantic region last winter. At the PAC Outdoor Championships, she won the discus for the second-straight year with a top throw of 41.21 meters (135-02). Additionally, she finished third in the shot put with a best throw of 12.19 meters (40-00) and seventh in the javelin with a personal-best mark of 34.11 meters (111-11). Rambo claimed the No. 1 spot in the Mid-Atlantic region in shot put during the outdoor season, registering a 13.37 meter (43-10.50) throw at Mount Union's Last Chance Meet. She also finished in the No. 2 spot in the Mid-Atlantic region with her discus throw of 44.16 meters (144-10) at Slippery Rock's John Papa Invitational in April. 

Iwig, an early childhood and special education major, carries a 3.53 cumulative GPA. At the PAC Indoor Championships she finished fourth in the high jump with a best mark of 1.53 meters (5-00.25) and 12th in the 60 meters with a time of 8.45. At Mount Union's Tune-Up Meet in February, Iwig posted a fourth-place finish in the pole vault after clearing a personal-best 3.72 meters (12-02.50). She finished the season in the No. 3 spot in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Westminster was the runner-up at the 2024-25 PAC Indoor Championships with 120 points finished third with 131 points at this year's outdoor championships.
