Dye finishes second at Kent State

Team competes at Susquehanna

KENT, Ohio--Sophomore Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) was the runner-up in the high jump at Kent State's Doug Raymond Invitational Friday. 

Dye cleared 2.00 meters (6-06.75) on his third and final attempt inside the Kent State Field House. 

The remainder of the program traveled to Selinsgrove to compete in Susquehanna's River Hawk Friday Night Showdown. 

Freshman Zach Kovell (Aliquippa, Pa., Hopewell) was the runner-up in the 400 with a time of 51.02 seconds. Freshman Aaron Stebick (Butler, Pa., Butler) finished third in the 200 (23.03) and 400 (51.56) while junior Jack Crider (Apollo, Pa., Kiski) finished third in the shot put (13.79m, 45-03.00) and sixth in the weight throw (13.92m, 45-08.00). Junior Dalton Koehler (Chardon, Ohio, Fairport Harding) was third in the 800 (2:01.28).

Junior Kyle Crown (Lake Milton, Ohio, McDonald) finished fourth in the shot put with a season-best mark of 13.75 meters (45-01.50). Junior Jake Mull (Apollo, Pa., Apollo-Ridge) was fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 8.40, fifth in the 200 (23.44) and 13th in the long jump (5.57, 18-03.25). Senior Ben White (Warren, Pa., Warren) was 10th in the 200 (23.82).

The Titans' 4x400-meter 'A' relay finished second with a season-best time of 3:30.76. Members of the relay included Kovell, Mull, junior Dennis Jones (West Middlesex, Pa., West Middlesex) and Stebick. 

Up next:
Westminster is scheduled to compete at the Youngstown State Last Chance, presented by Southwoods Health, next Friday. Events inside the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) will get underway at 3 p.m.
