Dye competes at Division III Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.--Westminster sophomore Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) competed in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday afternoon. The two-day event is being held at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Alabama and hosted by Birmingham-Southern College and the City of Birmingham.

Dye was one of five competitors to tie for 14th place after clearing 1.98 meters (6-06). He entered the Championships as a No. 10 seed, one of 11 competitors with a seed mark of 2.06 meters (6-09). He hit the personal-best mark at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships in February.

With the outdoor season underway, Westminster will split its team Friday-Saturday, March 27-28 to compete at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational and the Tim Weaver Invitational, hosted by West Liberty.
