Westminster wraps up regular season at Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa.--Westminster's men's swimming and diving program suffered a 107-58 loss to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rival Grove City Thursday night. 

The 200 medley relay, made up of freshman Ethan Bishop (Meadow, Utah, Millard), sophomore Jack Katigbak (North Canton, Ohio, Lake Center Christian), junior Hayne Webster (Wellsboro, Pa., Wellsboro) and freshman Joseph Galbraith (Waterford, Pa., Fort Le Boeuf), finished second (1:47.43). 

Katigbak won the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.44 and finished second in the 500 freestyle (5:19.79).

Bishop finished second in the 50 freestyle (24.12) and 100 freestyle (52.55) while sophomore William Nebiolo (Glenshaw, Pa., Shaler) was second in the 200 freestyle (2:18.73) and third in 50 freestyle (27.14) and 100 freestyle (1:04.76). Gablraith was second in the 100 backstroke (1:07.59) and third in the 500 freestyle (5:24.99).

Graduate student Gino Piraino (Export, Pa., Franklin Regional) was the lone competitor on the 1-meter board, totaling 201.80 points. He also finished in third place in the 100 backstroke (1:10.26).

The 200 freestyle relay closed out the meet with a second-place finish (1:35.08). Relay members included Galbraith, Bishop, Webster and Katigbak. 

Up Next:
Westminster will be back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at the PAC Championships. The four-day event will once again be held at Grove City's James E. Longnecker Pool.
