Piraino finishes second on 1-meter board at Sentner Invitational

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--Graduate student Gino Piraino (Export, Pa., Franklin Regional) registered a runner-up finish in the 11-dive, 1-meter event Friday night at Westminster's Rich Sentner Diving Invitational.

With the support of Rich's brother, Pat, a 1990 Westminster graduate and member of the College's Board of Trustees, the Rich Sentner Diving Invitational has become an annual tradition since the inaugural event in 2019. A College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-America on the 1-meter board in both 1990 and 1991, Rich was a co-captain as a senior and graduated from Westminster with an art degree in 1991. He passed away July 1, 2013.

Piraino posted a score of 264.35 points. Washington & Jefferson's Zach Lloyd won the five-diver event with 402.10 points.
