Rankin, Morgan earn PAC weekly awards

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Westminster College junior Katie Rose Rankin (Sewickley, Pa., North Allegheny) and freshman CeCe Morgan (Fairview, Pa., Cathedral Prep.) earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Golf honors Tuesday afternoon.

This is Rankin's first PAC Player of the Week award this season and the seventh of her career. Morgan was named PAC Newcomer of the Week for the third time this season (Sept. 2, Sept. 23).

Rankin fired a program-record 71 on Sunday to help lead the Titans to a third-place finish at Catholic's two-day Cardinal Fall Classic. The nine-team, 49-player event was hosted by the Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown, Md. Rankin finished in fourth place and tied her own 36-hole program record with a 149. She followed Saturday's 78 with the one-under 71 on Sunday, concluding the round with six birdies. It was Rankin's third time registering a 149 at a 36-hole event: she carded a 149 at Allegheny's Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational in both 2023 and 2024.

Morgan was 17th at Catholic with a two-day score of 165. She shot an 83 on Saturday, highlighted by one birdie, and fired an 82 in Sunday's round that featured 10 pars.

Westminster will compete at the John Carroll Fall Invitational next Saturday and Sunday at the Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.
