Westminster fourth in Meadville

MEADVILLE, Pa.--The Westminster College women's golf team finished fourth at the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational Monday afternoon.

The two-day, eight-team event was held at the Country Club of Meadville. Carnegie Mellon's 'B' team won the event with a team score of 593, following up it 303 on Sunday with a 290 on Monday. Wittenberg was second with a 638 (322-316) and Kenyon was third with a 660 (335-325). Westminster combined for a 667. The Titans shot a 335 Monday after a 332 on Sunday.

Kenyon's Sasha Belova won medalist with a score of 143. She shot a two-over 73 on Sunday followed by a one-under 70 on Monday.

Sophomore Ava Liburdi (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) and junior Katie Rose Rankin (Sewickley, Pa., North Allegheny) finished 12th and 13th, respectively. Liburdi carded a two-day score of 160, following up Sunday's 81 with a 79 Monday. Rankin registered a two-round score of 163, shooting an 80 Monday after her 83 Sunday. Senior Alyssa Rapp (Poland, Ohio, Cardinal Mooney) finished 20th (172, 83-89), freshman CeCe Morgan (Fairview, Pa., Cathedral Prep) was 24th (176, 85-91) and senior Olivia Kana (North Huntingdon, Pa., Greensburg Central Catholic) tied for 26th (178, 91-87).

Next:
Westminster will compete in the two-day Catholic Fall Classic Saturday and Sunday. Hosted by Catholic at the Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown, Md., the event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. each day.
