Davis 10th in pentathlon at Ashland

ASHLAND, Ohio--Graduate student Breannda Davis (Streetsboro, Ohio, Streetsboro) recorded a 10th-place finish in the pentathlon on the opening day of Ashland University's Jud Logan Light Giver Open Friday.

Davis totaled a career-high 3,237 points in the 38-competitor field. She placed third in the high jump with a season-best mark of 1.65 meters (5-05), was ninth in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 34.82 seconds, 13th in the shot put with a career-best throw of 9.77 meters (32-00.75), 13th in the long jump (5.05m, 16-07) and 20th in the 60-meter hurdles (9.95).

Graduate student Madison Conley (New Castle, Pa., New Castle) participated in the elite pole vault competition, tying for 12th place after clearing 3.63 meters (11-10.75).

Up Next:
Westminster will return to action on Friday, Feb. 14 at Youngstown State University's Last Chance. Events are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. inside the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).
