ROCHESTER, N.Y--Westminster College graduate students Madison Conley (New Castle, Pa., New Castle) and Breannda Davis (Streetsboro, Ohio, Streetsboro) competed at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday at Nazareth's Golisano Training Center.

Friday, Conley competed in the pole vault and Davis competed in the pentathlon. Davis will also participate in the high jump Saturday at 3 p.m.

Conley finished 18th, clearing 3.77 meters (12-04.50) on her third attempt at the height. A two-time All-American, she was seventh at both the indoor and outdoor national championships last year. Conley entered the championships with the 14th-best mark, winning the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) title by clearing a season-best 3.83 meters (12-06.75) on Feb. 27.

Davis was 18th with 3,070 points. She was 19th (9.61) in the 60-meter hurdles, fifth in the high jump (1.63m, 5-04.25), 19th in the shot put (9.16m, 30-00.75), 18th in the long jump (4.99m, 16-04.50) and 18th in the 800-meter run (2:48.47). Davis was a high jump qualifier at last year's Division III Outdoor Championships. This was her first appearance at the indoor championships.

Last Saturday, she won the pentathlon at Shenandoah's South Regional Final Qualifier and Multi with a personal-best and school-record score of 3,369 points. She won the high jump, clearing 1.67 meters (5-05.75), and was second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.46 seconds, second in the shot put with a personal-best throw of 9.98 meters (32-09), second in the long jump (5.11m, 16-09.25) and second in the 800 meters (2:36.15). Davis' 3,3369 points were enough to earn the No. 20 seed. On Feb. 14 at Youngstown State's Last Chance she cleared a school-record 1.71 meters (5-07.25) in the high jump. Davis is tied for the No. 6 seed in the event.
