12/9/2025 6:00:00 PM

TRAFFORD, Pa.--Sophomore Rylan Dye (Hermitage, Pa., Hickory) was selected as a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week Tuesday afternoon. He was honored as the season's first field athlete of the week after winning the high jump at the 14th Annual Youngstown State Icebreaker, presented by Southwoods Health, last Friday.

This is his second time earning a PAC weekly award. He was recognized as the PAC's Newcomer of the Week during last year's outdoor season.

Dye, who entered the 18-competitor seeded high jump competition Friday with the fourth-best seed mark, cleared 2.03 meters (6-08.00), surpassing his previous all-time best and existing No. 1 mark on the indoor program's all-time performance list. His previous school-record jump of 1.99 meters (6-06.25) was set at the PAC Championships last February. Dye's jump is currently tied for No. 5 on the Division III performance list and ranks first among Mid-Atlantic region counterparts.

Dye was named an All-Region selection by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) last May after the outdoor season.

Up next:
Westminster returns to action on Friday, Jan. 16 at Akron's Seventh Annual Al Campbell Invitational. Field events are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. with track events getting underway at 4:30 p.m.
