Kamenski wins 400 hurdles at Slippery Rock

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.--Westminster College senior Anthony Kamenski (Chicora, Pa., Karns City) won the 400-meter hurdles at Slippery Rock University's John Papa Invitational Thursday afternoon. 

Kamenski posted a winning time of 54.77 seconds in the 400 hurdles. The time ranks No. 2 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this season. He also finished in sixth place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.20. 

Freshman Dennis Jones (West Middlesex, Pa., West Middlesex) finished third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:00.94. Senior Ryan Armstrong (Pocono Summit, Pa., Pocono Mountain West)  was sixth in the 800 (2:02.86).

Freshman Jake Mull (Apollo, Pa., Apollo-Ridge) was 13th in the 200 meters (22.46), which ranks as the No. 6 time in the league this season. Freshman Jack Crider (Apollo, Pa., Kiski) was 23rd in the shot put (12.71m, 41-08.50), which ranks as the eighth-best throw in the PAC. 

Westminster's 4x100-meter "A" relay was second with a time of 43.49. Members of the relay included Kamenski, freshman Matthew Essey (Aliquippa, Pa. , Hopewell), sophomore Benjamin White (Warren, Pa., Warren) and Mull. 

Westminster will compete in the PAC Championships next Thursday-Friday, April 25-26. The two-day event will be held at Mylan Park, the home of West Virginia University track and field.
