Kamenski runner-up in 400 hurdles at Westminster Invitational

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.---Senior Anthony Kamenski (Chicora, Pa., Karns City) finished as the runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles to highlight the men's outdoor track and field performances Saturday at the Westminster College Invitational.

Kamenski posted a time of 56.12 seconds in the 400 hurdles. He also finished sixth the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.29.

Freshman Matthew Essey (Aliquippa, Pa. , Hopewell) finished sixth in the long jump (6.40m, 21-00) while classmate Kyle Crown (Lake Milton, Ohio, McDonald) was seventh in the shot put (14.21m, 46-07.50). Sophomore Ben White (Warren, Pa., Warren) tied for eighth in the 200 meters (22.69)

Westminster's 4x100-meter "A" relay posted a second-place finish with a time of 43.43. Relay members included Kamenski, White, Essey and graduate student Ryan Beard (Murrysville, Pa., Franklin Regional).

Westminster is scheduled to participate in Slippery Rock University's John Papa Invitational on Thursday.
