Kamenski runner-up at Cal State LA's Twilight Open

LOS ANGELES--Westminster College senior Anthony Kamenski (Chicora, Pa., Karns City) and graduate student Ryan Beard (Murrysville, Pa., Franklin Regional) competed at the California State University, Los Angeles' Twilight Open Meet Thursday night. The event was held at the Jesse Owens Track at University Stadium.

Kamenski raced to a runner-up finish in the 110-meter hurdles, posting a time of 15.25 seconds. He also finished eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.50.

Beard competed in both the 100 meters and 200 meters. He was 12th in the 200 (22.49) and 18th in the 100 (11.18).

Westminster will host its annual spring invitational this weekend. Friday, the hammer will be contested at Slippery Rock University, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The remaining events will be held Saturday in New Wilmington, starting at 9:45 a.m.
