Bumbach wins twice at Penn State Behrend

ERIE, Pa.--Westminster College freshman Avery Bumbach (Ocala, Fla., Forest) won a pair of events Saturday in Westminster College's 173-99 dual meet loss at Penn State Behrend Saturday afternoon at the Junker Center Pool. 

Westminster fell to 1-3. Penn State Behrend improved to 3-0. 

Bumbach won the 1000 free with a time of 10 minutes, 48.07 seconds and the 400 IM with a time of 4:30.99. He was also second in the 100 free (51.10). 

Senior Samuel Duda (Tulsa, Okla., Bishop Kelley) finished second in the 400 IM (4:40.46) and freshman Jack Katigbak (North Canton, Ohio, Lake Center Christian) finished second in the 100 back (54.84 seconds). Sophomore Colton Super (Aliquippa, Pa., Central Valley) won the 1-meter dive (225.05) and the 3-meter dive (207.25). 

Westminster's "A" team won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:42.11. Members of the relay were freshman Ethan Schohn (Pittsburgh, Pa., Plum), sophomore Hayne Webster (Wellsboro, Pa., Wellsboro), senior Mason Peck (Cary, N.C., Panther Creek) and senior Jack Mickle (Presto, Pa., Bishop Canevin)

Westminster will travel to Clarion University's Waldo S. Tippin Natatorium Friday. The meet is scheduled for 6 p.m.
