Curtis paces Westminster at Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa.--Westminster College junior Monica Curtis (Harborcreek, Pa., Harbor Creek) posted a second-place finish at Grove City College's Twilight Friday night.

The five-kilometer event was held at Robert E. Thorn Field. Grove City's Julianna Lindberg was the top individual finisher with a time of 18 minutes, 57.08 seconds.

Curtis registered a time of 19:54.18. Junior Alyssa Jeffcoat (Wampum, Pa., Lincoln) finished in eighth place with a time of 22:43.97 while sophomore Madison Mamula (New Brighton, Pa., New Brighton) was 10th (23:04.29).

The NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Championships are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 16 and will be hosted by Lock Haven University at the West Branch Cross Country Course. The women's six-kilometer race is scheduled for 11 a.m.
