Westminster men fall at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa.--The Westminster College men's swimming and diving program suffered a 171-112 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) loss to Saint Vincent College Saturday afternoon at Resnik Pool. 

Saint Vincent upped its overall record to 5-4 overall and improved to 5-1 in PAC dual meets. Westminster fell to 3-4 overall and 3-1 in conference dual meet action this season. 

Senior Sean Perrone (Avondale, Pa., Kennett) finished first in the 1-meter, 5-dive competition with 151.40 points. Freshman Colton Super (Aliquippa, Pa., Central Valley) was first in the 1-meter, 6-dive competition with 194.40 points. Super finished second in the 1-meter, 5-dive event (134.60). 

Senior Paul Kallaur (Bethel Park, Pa., Homeschooled) finished second in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.07) and the 200 breaststroke (2:23.99). Junior Samuel Duda (Tulsa, Okla., Bishop Kelley) was second in the 200 backstroke (2:08.27) and the 1000 freestyle (10:50.24) and finished third in the 200 freestyle (1:55.49). Junior Michael Phillips (Saxonburg, Pa., Knoch) recorded second-place finishes in the 500 freestyle (5:28.29) and the 200 IM (2:12.81) and had a third-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:17.42). 

Westminster's 200 freestyle relay closed out the meet with a victory, posting a time of 1 minute, 34.32 seconds. Relay members were Kallaur, sophomore Ron Whitehouse (Maryville, Tenn., Maryville), freshman Hayne Webster (Wellsboro, Pa., Wellsboro) and Duda. 

Westminster will travel to PAC rival Grove City College Wednesday. Events will begin at 6 p.m. at James E. Longnecker Pool.
