Patton 3rd at Akron

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.--The Westminster College indoor track and field teams competed in a pair of unscored events Saturday. 

Limited members traveled to the Stile Field House in Akron, Ohio to participate in the University of Akron Invitational and to the Peterson Field House in Alliance, Ohio to participate in the University of Mount Union's Jim Wuske Invitational. 

At Akron, senior Jacob Patton
(Harrisville, Pa. | Moniteau) finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.60 seconds. It ranks as the second-best time in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this season. 

Junior Anthony Kamenski
(Chicora, Pa. | Karns City) was fourth in the 60 hurdles (9.04) and ninth in the 400 meters (51.43). 

Senior Deondre McKeever
(Youngstown, Ohio | Austintown Fitch) posted a seventh-place finish in the long jump with a best mark of 6.09 meters (19-11.75). 

Westminster is scheduled to compete at the SPIRE Indoor Games Friday-Saturday, February 10-11 in Geneva, Ohio.
