BETHANY, W.Va. – The Westminster women's basketball team earned the number two seed in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship Tournament, following its, 57-42, win against Bethany in a conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
"We played great team defense and did a good job getting transition points," said head coach
Rosanne Scott.
The first half was highlighted by Westminster's (16-8, 13-5 PAC) 12-3 run in the first quarter. The run was capped by a junior
Lindsay Bell (Youngstown, OH / Ursuline) layup. At the intermission, the Titans led 32-20.
In the fourth quarter, Westminster outscored Bethany (14-10, 9-8 PAC) 14-5 as the stout Titan defense held the Bison at bay and secured the victory.

Camden Hergenrother (Salem, OH / Cardinal Mooney), who scored a game-high 20 points with five rebounds and three assists. Junior
Natalie Murrio (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) registered 11 points and seven boards, followed by Bell with eight points and a team-best eight rebounds. Senior
Magen Polczynski (Irwin, PA / Norwin) chipped in with six points, four rebounds, and three assists. First-year
Mackenzie Powell (Harrison City, PA / Penn-Trafford) tied a career-best with one block, classmate
Alaina Moore (Weirton, WV / Madonna) tallied a steal (tying a career-high).
"Our mindset heading into the tournament is one game at a time and to keep doing what we have been doing all year long, which is playing together," said Scott.
