ALTOONA, Pa. – The Westminster men's tennis team opened its traditional Spring season with a non-conference win at Penn State Altoona, 7-2.
Westminster (3-1) won four singles matches, led by first-year
Ellian Ascencio (Venetia, PA / Peters Township) who won, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 1 singles over Joey Toth. Ascencio also teamed up with junior
Jimmy Oberlin (DuBois, PA / DuBois Area) for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles over Toth and Tommy Davis. The Titans swept the doubles matches.
The Titans are back on the court next Saturday, Feb. 26 at Penn State Behrend at 6 p.m.
