DELAWARE, Ohio – Members of the Westminster College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed in the Great Lakes Final Qualifying Meet, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan, on Thursday.
Senior
Jaevon Hardy (Waldorf, MD / North Point) won the 100 with a season-best time of 10.54, only 0.08 seconds from tying his own school record. Hardy is now tied for sixth among Division III counterparts.
First-year
Morgan Gossard (Johnstown, PA / Richland) finished fourth in the pole vault (3.42m/11-2.5). Gossard is currently tied for 15th in Division III with a mark of 3.77m (12-4.5).
Sophomore
Dalton Anderson (Butler, PA / Moniteau) won the javelin with a toss of 187'3" (57.07m). Anderson is currently 21st in Division III with a mark of 194'1" (59.17m).
Junior
Cole Keister (Edinburg, PA / Union Area) set a new personal-record in the 400 hurdles with a third-place time of 57.26.
The NCAA Division III Championships are slated for Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. The top 22 women and the top 20 men in their respective events qualify for Nationals.
