WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Westminster College men's tennis team lost, 7-2, at Waynesburg University on Saturday.
Titan sophomore
Miguel Ascencio (Venitia, PA / Peters Township) won at no. 1 singles, over Jonah Cooper, 6-2, 6-2. Ascencio is now 6-3 at no. 1 singles for the season.
Ascencio also teamed up with freshman
Noah Weiss (South Park, PA / South Park) for an 8-7 win at no. 2 doubles, edging Joe English and Conor Cassidy. Ascencio and Weiss are now 2-0 at no. 2 doubles.
The Titans dropped to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in the PAC, while Waynesburg improved to 6-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Westminster will next play at Allegheny College on Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m.
