SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Westminster College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed in the Slippery Rock Open on Thursday.
Four Titans competed in the women's pole vault. First-year
Morgan Gossard (Johnstown, PA / Richland) finished tied for third with a valut registering 11' 7" (3.53 meters). Senior
Jamie Thompson (Pulaski, PA / New Wilmington) was right behind, finishing in seventh place (3.30 meters). First-year
Abigail Westcott also competed, finishing in a tie for tenth (2.93 meters).
For the Titan men, junior
Hunter Cox (Clinton, PA / South Side) and freshman
Jonathan Micsky (Greenville, PA / Greenville) each competed in the pole vault, both finishing in seventh place with vaults of 13' 9¼" (4.20 meters).
The Titans will now prepare for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Championships, which are set for Thursday, April 25 to Friday, April 26 at Grove City College.
