ADA, Ohio – Select pole vaulters from the Westminster College indoor track & field team competed in the 2019 Polar Bear Final Qualifier on Saturday. Ohio Northern University hosted the event.
Titan sophomore
Julia Strobel (New Castle, PA / Wilmington Area) set a new personal-best mark with a fifth-place finish at 10-08.25 (3.26m).
In the men's pole vault, junior
Tim Maxwell (Washington, PA / McGuffey) placed fifth (14-08.75/4.49m), while freshman
Jonathan Micsky (Greenville, PA / Greenville) finished seventh (13-09.00/4.19m).
The 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals take place starting on Friday, March 8 in Boston, Mass. The University of Massachusetts Boston is hosting the two-day event.
